Signals: Agent Inbox
Privacy Policy
Effective October 8, 2026
The short version: Signals collects no data. We can't see your board, your messages or anything else you do in the app.
This policy covers the Signals: Agent Inbox app for iPhone ("Signals"). "We" and "us" mean its developer.
What we collect
Nothing. Signals has:
- No account. There is no sign-up, login or profile.
- No analytics, no ads and no tracking. The app contains no analytics, advertising or crash-reporting SDKs, uses no advertising identifier and does not track you across apps or websites.
- No server of ours. The app does not send anything to us or to any third party we work with.
Where your board is stored
Your topics, replies, approvals and their status sync between your iPhone and your Mac only through your own iCloud account, in your private CloudKit database. Only devices signed in to your Apple Account can read it. We have no access to it.
Message content (titles, text and replies) is stored in CloudKit encrypted fields, which Apple encrypts end to end. Data in iCloud is also subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.
A few display preferences, such as your last filter, stay on your iPhone only.
Photos you attach
If you attach photos to a message, they are uploaded to the same private iCloud database so Signals Relay on your Mac can hand them to your agent. iCloud encrypts them, though not with the end-to-end encrypted fields used for text. They never go to us. Signals reads only the photos you pick.
Dictation
When you dictate a reply, Signals uses Apple's speech recognition (the Speech framework) to turn your speech into text you can edit. On iPhones that support on-device recognition, it runs on your iPhone. On others, Apple's speech service processes it under Apple's privacy policy. Signals never stores the audio, and no audio is sent to us.
Notifications
Notifications are delivered by Apple's push service through iCloud. Signals does not read or share your device's push token.
Your Mac and your AI agent
Signals Relay on your Mac moves messages between your iCloud and the Signals board on that Mac. It sends nothing to us either. The AI agent you connect (for example Claude Code) is a separate product: what it does with your messages is governed by its provider's terms and privacy policy, under your own account with that provider.
Deleting your data
Delete the app, then go to Settings › [your name] › iCloud › Manage Storage on your iPhone, choose Signals and delete its data. Because we hold no copy, there is nothing else to delete.
Children
Signals is a developer tool and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If the app ever starts handling data differently, we will update this page and its effective date before the change ships.
