The short answerAs of November 2021, Michigan Medicaid covers non-physician behavioral health services from licensed psychologists, social workers, professional counselors and marriage and family therapists who are enrolled as Medicaid providers. Some services are paid through the PIHP/CMHSP instead of Medicaid fee-for-service.
