UnitedHealthcare (commercial and individual exchange) pediatric speech and OT coverage: who can bill

The short answerSLP only. UnitedHealthcare commercial and exchange plans do not pay speech-language pathologists for a list of E/M, adaptive behavior assessment and other codes. Speech services need a written plan of care set before treatment, a separate plan for each therapy discipline, and the GN modifier on always-therapy codes.
